For most of us, Chowhound is invaluable with tips, opinions, thoughts, suggestions and directions to places we’d never otherwise encounter. Now’s the chance to meet and eat with all those people whose posts you know and trust. It’s time for a picnic — a serious chowdown with all your new and old chowfriends.

When: Saturday, September 27th, 2008, from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Where: Tilden Regional Park, Laurel Area.
Who: Both old-timers and newcomers are encouraged to attend! Chowhounds are fun and friendly people who will make you feel welcome. Invitations extend to one Chowhound, plus a spouse or a friend, and their children.
Fees: We charge a fee to cover our costs, including site rental and insurance. The cost is $16.00 per person, children under 12 free, one free child for each paid adult.
More Details: Registration is now open!, and has been announced on this site and via the East bay, Silicone Valley, North Bay and SF Yahoo lists, and the board. We recommend registering as soon as possible since space is limited, food categories will fill up.
Everyone will get to share in the potluck of Chowhounds' favorite foods, participate in a beer tasting event, a cooking demonstration and more!
